Hi Everyone,
Sooooo glad to be back home!!! Hip Hip Horray!!! I missed Sydney so much. We are all a bit jet lagged and my poor little girl is a little sick but on the road to recovery.
Hong Kong / China was great but nothing beats coming home. So I can now get back to what I love doing best, crafting (once I unpack that is). I have been dying to get my hands on some stamps and paper so watch out for some new projects.
Come again soon

Merry Christmas everybody. I hope everyone got their cards and presents out on time, unluck me!! We have finally moved and Christmas was a bit of a mish mash this year, but it’s great to be in a new home and a new start.
Now I will finally have sometime to update my shoppe and also add lots of new goodies and start holding cardmaking classes at long last.
So watch this space and hopefully I will see you all next year (wink wink).

After an amazing Hornsby Craft Fair, thanks for all those that dropped by and bought from me. It was so nice to see so many fellow scrapbookers and cardmakers there.

I now have the horrible task of stocktacking the online Shoppe, so please bare with me while I fix the quantities as some may have already sold out and is not corresponding to what the website says.

But on the bright side I will be adding heaps of NEW products, so drop by frequently to see the updates.

Thanks again

Tips and Tricks for Studio Calico’s Free Range Add On

September 3, 2010

Share Your Comment

Here is a layout Kimberly Neddo from Studio Calico made using this months add on kit – Free Range.

Using the Free Range Add on… and more colour papers available on request.
I picked out the colors and background paper that I wanted to use. I used my Tim Holtz ruler and a pencil to draw even lines spaced an inch apart. Then I simply stamped across each line with this color ink
After the ink was dry, I used my white eraser to take erase the penciled lines

For the outside borders, I used different patterned paper from the kit with different techniques. I used one of my border edge punch, and the fun lace tape that is in the kit. I also love to wet down my papers to get them to mold how I would like them to when they dry, so I did that along the edge to show a little smidge of the patterned paper on the backside.

For the Flowers, I punched out circles using 3 different size circle punches starting with the 3 inch punch. Then I wet the paper to crinkle them up and stack them together. To finish off the flowers, I used the cute chipboard accent flowers with some jute to tie it all in together. :)

Thanks Kimberly for the beautiful layout that is sure to inspire.  Have fun

Love

Joanna

This is an absolute favourite stamp of mine.  It was part of the KOM – Simply Magical and now is also available as a single wood slide stamp Plafyfully Pixie from Unity Stamp Co.

Here I tried out a technique called “collage stamping”.  I didn’t have the right sponges to go over it with so it’s a little blochy…oops!!

Yummy Chocolate Box

April 8, 2010

Happy Easter everyone!! We have spent the days out in the parks and eating lots and lots of Easter eggs. Hugo and Hayden thinks this is the best time of the year.

Hugo finishes up at the Cubbyhouse long day care this Tuesday, so trust me to leave it to the last minute but I frantically needed to make something fast to give as gifts to all the carers. So this is what I came up with, a  yummy box filled with Lindt and Dove chocolates.

Materials:  Designer Paper, Ribbons, Scallop Oval Punch, Oval Punch, Stampin Dimensionals, Close to Cocoa classic stampin pad, Oval All stamp set, bone folder.

It’s great to see how inspiration of some of the stamps come from here is how the jar of happiness for the Nov KOM came from, I thought it was quite neat, must try to make something myself.
From Unity’s Blog site:
I love this image by Lindsay Spencer.
new bloga
I said something awhile back about bottling up HAPPINESS and being able to tap into it whenever we so choose.  Lindsay took that one step further and created a stamp with that idea.  I loved it so much that I put it into the November Kit of the Month!
Then, KELLY, took it ONE STEP further and MADE a Jar of Happiness.
I love it!
It is full of Inspirational Quotes – of which WE KNOW makes people HAPPY! :)
You are going to WANT to take a peek at Kelly’s Blog Today!
She has some more insight into her project. Personally I think this would be a GREAT GIFT!
I may need to get busy making some of THESE!
