Vintage or Modern Your Choice!

I have been playing with the different Memento colour inks this week. I used rich cocoa and tuxedo black to see what the outcome would be.
So here I used the same colour set of Copic Sketch Markers on both the Gertie’s and the result was quite dramatic.

bellaYou can see by using the Rich Cocoa ink as the base turns Gertie  very vintage  and when used with Tuxedo Black as the base it has a more sharp modern look about her.

I am still new to the Copic markers so the colour is a little flat and needs more highlighting but I guess the more practice the better you become.  I am loving the Copic markers the detailing and how you can blend colour together is absolutely amazing.

Here I have used a stamp from Stamping Bella’s Lulu Collection which isn’t available for sale online.  But if your interested in purchasing from this collection please send me an email.

Thanks for stopping by.

I have always been sceptical about clear stamps, but these ones from Stampavie are so so cute, I just had to get some.  Then I read about the different types of clear stamps you can get and Stampavie use quality photopolymer and not silicon (Silicon is great for sealing your bathtub But ink transfer?)

For more information on the difference between quality photopolymer and your cheap and nasty silicon clear stamps click here.

Here is a sample of some of the stamps arriving in the next couple of weeks!

Little Birdie Thanks

July 1, 2010

This is another one of the cards we have made this term for Crowies Craft.  The little birdie is super cute!

note-thanks

I love the simplicity of this card, yet it has so much impact!  I used copic markers to colour the birds with Xpress IT blending paper.

I did try and colour this card with normal whisper white cardstock and really noticed the difference.  The colours don’t blend as well and the colour doesn’t show up as rich as it does on special designed cardstock.

The lined notepaper came from a special Stampin Up! designer paper serious but I got the students to use a white piece of cardstock and rule lines on it which gave the same impact.

Cardstock/Paper:  Whisper White, Real Red, Summer Picnic Designer Paper, Xpress it blending card paper.  Stamps: For Everything Stampin Up!   Inks/Markers:  Copic sketch markers, memento ink tuxedo black. Other:  Scallop Square Punch, Spiral Punch

So here is a card I made for Crowies Craft. I thought I’d do some kids theme cards.

I love this monkey, it’s so so cheeky it reminds me of my son. In fact he saw the card and I asked if it was for his birthday (which is in October) he thinks that all his friends is getting one.

I started with a card, but I loved this monkey so much I decided to make some gift tags to go with it.  So I will update this post again once I complete the thank you cards which is in the making.

All Smiles for the Love of Copic Markers

June 2, 2010

A very good  friend of mine has been raving about copic markers.  At first I thought yeah there a “nice to have item” but… I could live without them.  BUT I was wrong I absolutely NEED them and can’t live without them.

I initially ordered my first set of from an overseas sight and was really excited that I could find a supplier.  To my dismay they were OUT OF STOCK!!! and when they finally had them back in stock I was no longer allowed to purchase the product as you now ONLY can purchase them in the country you live in!!

Today was a good day, I have finally hooked up with a local supplier and have placed my 1st order with them today....YEAH!!!

So the good news is I now able to sell copic markers to all those that also “NEED” these awesome products.

So if you need the copic markers let me know and I can see what I can do (all smiles)
